Anyway, not wanting to spend any money, I had a look round to see if I could find anything to diffuse the flash and give a softer light. I had an empty Extra chewing gum tub, with the flip up lid, handy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/blog.ed.gs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/02\/IMG_4002.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2533\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2533\" src=\"\/\/blog.ed.gs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/02\/IMG_4002.jpg\" alt=\"Wrigley' s Extra Tub Top\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.ed.gs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_4002.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/static.ed.gs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_4002-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/static.ed.gs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_4002-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The lid fits around the hot-shoe and flash perfectly and the semi translucent lid covers the entire flash head on my EOS 650D. The lid is quite large, so you could no doubt stick something onto it to soften the flash even more.
